JAKARTA, Indonesia – 29 September 2026 – Plaud, the company building real-world wearable AI interface for professionals, has officially launched in Indonesia with two products, Plaud Note Pro and NotePin S, marking an important step in its Southeast Asia growth strategy. Both devices capture in-person conversations and turn them into structured summaries and actionable insights, while supporting direct transcription in more than 112 languages, including Bahasa Indonesia, Javanese, and Sundanese. The launch follows strong early traction: weekly active usage of Plaud in Indonesia has already doubled in the first half of 2026, ahead of official market entry.

Plaud’s AI Technology to Support Professionals at Work
Plaud’s presence in Indonesia comes amid the growing use of AI and increasing workload pressures among professionals. PwC’s Global Workforce Hopes and Fears Survey 2025 found that 69% of Indonesian respondents have used AI for work. Meanwhile, Microsoft’s 2025 Work Trend Index showed that 88% of Indonesian workers feel they do not have enough time or energy to complete their work. This gap between AI adoption and mounting time pressures underscores the need for tools that help professionals work more efficiently, a need Plaud is designed to address.
Indonesia’s linguistic diversity adds another layer of complexity to AI-powered transcription. Conversations can move between Bahasa Indonesia and regional languages, with variations in vocabulary and dialect, or even switch between languages within the same discussion. Accurately capturing these nuances is essential to preserving both what is said and the context behind it. Plaud combines its AI capabilities with purpose-built devices designed to capture conversations across different professional settings.
Plaud Note Pro is a credit card-sized device that captures both phone calls and in-person conversations, allowing users to stay present in a conversation without having to manually take notes. Plaud NotePin S is a wearable device that can be worn as a necklace, clip, wristband, or pin, designed for on-the-go work such as meetings, interviews, consultations, and fieldwork.

Plaud Note Pro attaches magnetically to the back of a MagSafe-compatible phone, capturing calls as they happen.

Plaud NotePin S, shown here clipped to a collar, is small and lightweight enough to wear all day.
Both devices are integrated with Plaud Intelligence, which turns conversations into transcripts, summaries, and key points that can be searched and revisited. Users can also select the spoken language and summary language separately, while the custom vocabulary feature allows users to add terms relevant to specific fields of work.
Plaud Intelligence will continue to evolve to better support professionals in their everyday work, with new AI agentic capabilities set to be introduced in Indonesia next month. These capabilities will help users turn insights from past conversations into follow-up emails, documents and other finished work, which can be directly sent to connected apps such as Notion, Slack, and Linear.
“In Indonesia, progress works best when it honors community and connection, the true spirit of gotong royong. As we launch Plaud here, our goal is to give professionals back their most valuable resource: time. By removing the burden of manual note-taking, transcription, and follow-ups, AI shouldn't replace human judgment; it should clear space for meaningful collaboration, sound decision-making, and what matters most,” said Megumi Yoshinaga, Head of APAC Marketing, Plaud.
Indonesia Projected to Become Plaud’s Top-Performing Southeast Asian Market
Indonesia is one of Plaud’s six priority markets in Southeast Asia, alongside Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. As Southeast Asia's largest economy, with a nominal GDP of approximately US$1.45 trillion in 2025, Indonesia is expected to become its top-performing market in the region by 2030, with its user base projected to exceed 1 million.
Globally, Plaud has been used by more than 2.5 million professionals across more than 170 countries. The company has also grown its annual recurring revenue (ARR) from US$1 million to US$100 million within two years and is targeting $500 million in global sales this year, underscoring the strong momentum behind its expansion.
In Indonesia, Plaud is expanding access to its products across both offline and online channels. Plaud’s devices are now available in nearly 70 physical stores through a number of official retail partners, including Urban Republic, Gramedia, and iBox, as well as online through Shopee, TikTok Shop, Tokopedia, Blibli, and Plaud’s Southeast Asia website. Plaud Note Pro is priced at IDR 3,499,000 and NotePin S at IDR 3,449,000.
